Ephemeral Garden – Nancy 2022

For the 2022 edition of the Ephemeral Garden in the City of Nancy, the Vortex-X collective transformed the public space with a site-specific installation linking the garden to the façade of the City Hall.

Like a filamental energy crossing Place Stanislas, the work wove a connection between nature and architecture — between living ground and heritage stone.

This immersive creation played with both tension and lightness, inviting visitors to follow the movement of the vortex — a symbol of momentum, circulation, and transformation.

Designed specifically for this site, the installation entered into dialogue with the ephemeral landscape of the garden, extending its breath all the way to the golden stone of the Town Hall.
